Description: The White River rises just below White River Glacier in White River Canyon. While additions to the Mount Hood Wilderness protected the upper reaches of the river, the Lower White River Wilderness protects a segment of lower river stretch. The Keeps Mill Campground offers a primitive trailhead camping and staging area.
Location: From Tygh Valley, go 20 miles west on Forest Road 48, then south 3 miles on FR 4885, across the river to FR 2120.
